The AL5871Q 55V linear LED driver is an automotive single channel linear LED driver with PWM and analog dimming control. The LED driver can drive up to 750mA, and the LED current is controlled by a low power reference resistor connected to the REF pin. AL5871Q linear LED driver can precisely adjust LED current up to ± 4%, with excellent PWM and analog dimming performance.

When the AL5871Q detects that there is no PWM signal, it will automatically trigger the standby mode to save power. This linear LED driver monitors temperature and reduces LED current when the chip temperature exceeds a threshold temperature. Input undervoltage lockout (UVLO), LED series open/short circuit protection and over temperature protection (OTP) are designed for automotive applications to improve the robustness of the system. If any protection is triggered, the FAULT TB pin is pulled down. The AL5871Q can be used in the TSSOP-16EP (Type DX) package to provide constant current for a single LED string and has a full fault function. Typical applications include blind spot detection indicators, charging inlets, side markers, and reading lights.
