The MIC5245 is an efficient, precise CMOS voltage regulator optimized for ultra-low noise applications. The MIC5245 provides an initial accuracy of better than 1%, extremely low step-down (typically 150mV at 150mA), and a constant overload ground current (typically 100µA).

The MIC5245 provides a very low noise output and is ideal for RF applications that require a quiet voltage source. Noise bypass pins can also be used to further reduce output noise. Designed specifically for handheld and battery powered devices, the MIC5245 offers TTL logic-compatible enable pins. When disabled, power consumption drops to almost zero.

The MIC5245 also uses low-ESR ceramic capacitors, reducing the amount of board space required for power applications, which is critical in handheld wireless devices. Key features include current limiting, thermal shutdown, push and pull output for faster transient response, and active clamp for faster device shutdown.
