Panasonic Automotive European Industrial Systems (PAISEU) has introduced a series of new human detection proximity sensors. The MA Motion series sensors are 35% thinner than previous versions and are easy to install due to their "plug and play" nature. The device has a built-in triangular background suppression function, so it is not affected by scene changes or people passing outside the detection range. In addition, changing lighting conditions on the sensor surface and bright daylight up to 30k lux will not affect the performance of the sensor. As with previous versions, the proximity sensor has a width of 10mm and a height of 20mm, but has a depth of only 12.7mm and a depth of 19.5mm. The timing of the signals can be adjusted so that the beam frequencies of each adjacent sensor do not interfere with each other. For adjacent use or energy saving, Panasonic also offers a version with an external trigger input. "The sensor sends a beam of light to the human body and determines if that person is within a given distance," said Alexander Hoch, team leader of Panasonic's product marketing department. "If the sensor detects someone, it will output a transistor Set to ON. The MA Motion series proximity sensors are not only cost-effective, but also have a high level of performance, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications, including: detecting the presence of people in front of machines, automatic doors or safety doors Turn on the lights when people enter public places or businesses; turn off the faucet when people leave; several; and non-contact switches as sanitary and medical applications. "The thin MA Motion proximity switch has a detection distance of 5 to 200 cm and provides PNP or NPN open-collector versions of NPN and PNP output converters. They have an operating voltage range of 4.5VDC to 5.5VDC, or an operating voltage range of 5.5VDC to 27VDC.
