     With the introduction of the MLX9042x series, Melexis has expanded its portfolio of 3D magnetic position sensing solutions. These sensors are aimed at cost-sensitive automotive customers who need to accurately and safely measure absolute position over a wider temperature range in harsh and noisy environments.

      Industrial customers will benefit from the improvements they allow.     Devices in this family include MLX90421: rotary and linear use, with analog or PWM outputs; MLX90422: Rotation and linear use, with SENT output; MLX90423: Linear stray field immunity with analog, PWM or SENT outputs; MLX90425: Rotating 360 degrees stray field immunity, analog or PWM output. And MLX90426: Rotating 360 degree stray field immunity with SENT output.

      To provide the first proper EMC test, the MLX9042x provides similar performance to the MLX9037x family of products. With just one test cycle, you can keep the design moving quickly and keep the cost down. High AMR, including reverse polarity, reduces the number of quality accidents due to electrical overload and can meet a variety of OEM requirements.

    ASIL B ready (according to ISO 26262), these devices facilitate the design of functionally safe actuators and sensors to provide safe operation of vehicles. In addition to the single-mode version, the dual-mode version is also available for applications that require a higher level of security and availability.

    Another key advantage includes support for an operating temperature of 160°C. The high temperature capability allows position sensing applications in high temperature environments, such as small engine rooms or start-stop conditions where more thermal soaking occurs.they are available in SMD packages or SMP-3 and SMP-4 pcb-less packages (where the sensor and EMC capacitors are integrated in one die). And these devices are fully AEC-Q100 qualified
