Amphenol Pegasus series twists and locks "peep-proof" connectors. The connector provides the same convenience and weight reduction of the established Luminus series, with the additional advantages of EMI shielding and protection against environmental noise transients.
EMI shielding is provided by electroless copper and nickel plates and copper alloy spring finger gaskets. Tests show that the attenuation is greater than 50db for low-end signals (<100Mhz) and greater than 40db for high-end signals (<1Ghz). This level of isolation makes the Pegasus series ideal for AC washers, fluorescent lamps, switching power systems, and inter-system connection signal paths that need to be protected against environmental noise transients.
