Avago Technologies' AEDT-981x industrial high temperature (-40C to 115C) three-channel optical incremental encoder module.
These devices build on the proven HEDS-9140 family and use a developed optoelectronic ASIC and its built-in interposer circuit. The encoder uses a rotary code wheel with an 11mm optical radius, enabling a wide resolution range of 2000 to 5000 counts per revolution. This provides a high-resolution but compact solution.
AEDT-981x encoder is suitable for various commercial and industrial applications. It can significantly reduce the current consumption of AEDT-981x encoder (typical value Icc: 20mA) through Opto-ASIC's built-in automatic LED brightness adjustment technology. The corners maintain the best encoder performance. The LED brightness control function can also achieve optimal LED current control and significantly extend LED life.
