A new 44GHz model has been added to the current R&S FPH model, measuring frequencies from 5kHz up to 6, 13.6 and 26.5GHz. In addition, three new versions with tracking generators offer measured frequencies up to 13.6, 26.5 and 44GHz. It is Rohde & Schwarz who have added their R&S Spectrum Rider FPH series, offering a new base model for measuring frequencies up to 44GHz.

The new higher frequency model allows the device to perform a wider range of measurement tasks. Large buttons and a multi-touch touch screen make it extremely simple to operate. With high sensitivity of -160dbm, measurement accuracy between 10MHz and 3GHz is typically 0.5dB, providing class leading RF performance. The new model supports field applications such as 5G, broadcasting, radar, defense and satellite communication link verification.

Its battery life is up to 4.5 hours, which makes it a durable 44GHz handheld spectrum analyzer for field missions. A backlit keyboard allows users to work in the dark, and a non-reflective display provides a daylight mode that improves readability in direct sunlight. The 44GHz model weighs just 3.2kg and is optimized for mobile applications

The analyzer can be controlled remotely via USB or LAN, and more conveniently, R and S MobileView apps for iOS or Android provide seamless remote control of the device. This handheld Spectrum Analyzer family features a large format capacitive touch screen that allows easy and intuitive adjustment of Settings, including frequency, range and reference levels, and setting of markers. In addition, large buttons and practical multi-functional wheels assist operation with gloves in outdoor environments.
