Freescale's Kinetis KL27 family of ultra-low-power Cortex M0 + MCUs with USB are optimized for cost-sensitive and battery-powered applications that require USB connectivity and minimal power consumption. The MCU has a high-precision internal voltage and clock reference, while USB FS 2.0 devices do not require an external crystal. They also provide FlexIO to support any standard and custom serial peripheral emulation, as well as embedded ROM with bootloader for flexible program upgrades. Due to these improvements, the KL27 series can provide power levels as low as 54uA / MHz in ultra-low-power operating modes and 1.96uA power levels in deep-sleep mode (reserved RAM + RTC).
