    Foremost Electronics currently offers the nVent/Schroff Card-LOk series of innovative HIGH thermal performance and high clamping force PCB reholders for harsh environments. The new recliner is an alternative to most applications that use standard Card-Loks, with an average clamping force more than three times that of standard Card-Loks of the same size.

    With small and lightweight designs, typical applications include industrial systems, communications, defense, space flight, computers, and intelligence surveillance. Standard COTS and improved Card-Loks are able to meet a wide range of needs and incorporate a secondary maintenance design that includes torque limits and tool-free card locks.

    SWaP is an ongoing challenge for defense and aerospace designers and manufacturers. This is especially important in aerial applications where weight equals cost, or in driverless vehicles where space is at a premium. The need to miniaturize electronics is also driven by demand for a growing number of devices that can simply be transported long distances by carriers. Also as more and more systems are exposed to increased shock and vibration, adequate PCB retention is critical and this is also SWaP's requirement.
