Based on proven technology, Silicon Labs' Si88x2x dual digital isolators with DC-DC converters can provide a stable output voltage of 3.3V or 5V at peak output power levels up to 5W (or> 5V using external components). They have up to two digital channels. The DC-DC converter has a user-adjustable frequency to minimize emissions, a soft-start function to ensure safety, a shutdown option and loop compensation. The device requires minimal passive components and a miniature transformer. Compared with traditional isolation technologies, ultra-low-power digital isolation channels have significant data rate, propagation delay, size, and reliability advantages. Supports data rates up to 100Mbps, and the propagation delay of all devices is only 23ns (maximum). Applications include industrial automation systems, electric / hybrid vehicles, isolated power supplies, inverters, data acquisition, motor control, PLC and distributed control systems.
