The Si823x isolated driver family combines two independent, isolated drivers into one package. Si8230/1/3/4 is a high side/low side drive, while Si8232/5/6/7/8 is a dual drive. Versions with a peak output current of 0.5 A (si8230/1/2/3/7) and 4.0 A (Si8233/4/5/6/8) are available. The maximum supply voltage for all drives is 24 V. The Si823x driver uses the proprietary silicon isolation technology of Silicon Labs to provide up to 5 kVRMS withstand voltage and 60 ns fast propagation time per UL1577.

Common mode transient immune test circuit


The driver output can be grounded to the same or a separate ground, or connected to a positive or negative voltage. TTL level compatible input>400 mV hysteresis can be configured in a single control input (Si8230/2/3/5/6/7/8) or PWM input (Si8231/4). High integration, low propagation delay, small installation size, flexibility and cost-effectiveness make Si823x series ideal for isolated MOSFET/IGBT gate drive applications.
