TDK-Lambda's latest product is the CUS350M series AC / DC power supply. These devices have a rated output power of 350W and are medically and ITE certified to the IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60950-1 regulatory standards. The company states that the CUS350M does not require forced air for cooling and is ideal for applications that cannot tolerate audible noise, including hospitals, dental, broadcast and professional audio equipment. The power supply can operate from 85 to 264VAC input and initially provide 12V, 18V, 24V or 48V nominal output. The efficiency of CUS350M is as high as 94%, which conforms to the ErP directive. Its average efficiency level is greater than 87%, and the standby power consumption is less than 0.5W. Less internal waste heat enables the product to operate conservatively at full power at ambient temperatures from -20ºC to + 40ºC, and can operate at temperatures up to + 70C when derated. The compact CUS350M measures 190mm x 87mm and has a height of 40mm when mounted in a 1U rack. The preferred "/ F" suffix model has 5V, 0.5A standby output, 12V 0.3A auxiliary output, remote detection, remote on / off and isolated DC good signal. The CUS350M series has 4,000Vac (2 x MOPPs) input-to-output isolation, 2,000Vac (1 x MOPP) between input and ground, and 1,500Vac (1 x MOPP) between output and ground. Safety certifications include IEC / EN 60601-1, ANSI / AAMI ES 60601-1 and IEC / EN / US 60950-1 with CE marking for low voltage and RoHS2 directives. These units also meet the requirements of EN 55011-B, EN 55022-B and FCC Class B conducted radiation (Class A radiation) and meet IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
