ISO7841 is a new product from Texas Instruments (TI). It is a high-performance, four-channel digital isolator with 8000 VPK isolation voltage, and has passed VDE, CSA and CQC enhanced certification. The isolator provides high electromagnetic immunity and low radiation with low power consumption while isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I / O. Each isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer, which is separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulating gate. The device has enable pins that can be used to place each output in a high-impedance state for multi-host drive applications and reduce power consumption. ISO7841 has three forward and one reverse channels. If the input power or signal is lost, the default output is "high". Used in conjunction with an isolated power supply, this device prevents noise currents on the data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering or damaging sensitive circuits. Through innovative chip design and layout technology, the electromagnetic compatibility of ISO7841 has been significantly enhanced to simplify system-level ESD, EFT, surge and radiation compliance. ISO7841 is available in 16-lead SOIC wide body (DW) and ultra wide body (DWW) packages.
