Infineon technologies has received Arm Platform Security Architecture (PSA) Level 2 certification for PSoC 64 MCU standard security devices. Level 2 certification is combined with a laboratory evaluation of the PSA-ROT to provide evidence that the device is protected against scalable software attacks. The assessment laboratory performs vulnerability analysis and penetration tests on the PSA-ROT to determine whether it meets the nine security requirements of the PSA-ROT protection profile.

The PSoC 64 security MCU is one of the first Arm Cortex-M processors to achieve PSA level 1 certification. These MCUS are ideal for cloud-connected applications that need to protect user data and reliable firmware updates, including personal healthcare devices and home security solutions. With the new PSA Level 2 certification, iot system developers have increased confidence when using PSoC 64 secure MCUS equipped with the Arm PSA global threat model, security analysis, and hardware and firmware architecture specification set.

Erik Wood, Product Director, Internet of Things Security MCU, Infineon.said:"As a leader in iot and security solutions, we are pleased to have passed the rigorous laboratory testing of PSA level 2 certification,"  "This new level of certification further assures our iot solution developers that their smart connected devices are built on pSA-compliant security. In addition, the certification builds on our security platform to make our customers' lives simpler and safer."
