Advanced Navigation released the Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) Inertial Navigation System (INS) Boreas D70. The system combines advanced closed-loop DFOG and accelerometer technology with dual antenna RTK GNSS receiver. These are combined with the company's fusion algorithm based on artificial intelligence to provide accurate and precise navigation.

This system is also the latest version of the Boreas Digital Fiber Optic Gyroscope (DFOG) series, with excellent accuracy, stability and reliability. This technology is very suitable for the mapping, surveying and navigation applications of ocean, seabed, land and air.

It provides ultra high speed gyro winding to obtain and maintain accurate heading under the most challenging conditions. Although it contains a GNSS receiver, it is not required for gyrocompass operation. Other functions of the system include Ethernet, CAN and NMEA protocols, and strict timing through PTP server and 1PPS. A rich and responsive embedded web interface provides full access to all internal functions and data of the device. Internal storage provides up to one year of data logging.

"We are very pleased to expand the Boreas series on the D70. This system will provide additional flexibility for the Boreas series, making the ultra-high precision inertial navigation much more economical than the previous FOG INS system." "This patented technology makes it possible to use FOG INS system in a wider range of vehicle applications, especially in autonomous vehicle and aircraft where weight and size are very important."
