Vishay has introduced a series of new silicone coated axial lead wire wound resistors. Compared with standard wire-wound equipment, CW-high energy series resistors provide excellent short-term energy surge protection and can also be used in high temperature operating conditions up to + 350C. Compared with traditional wire-wound resistors, CW-high-energy resistors provide higher overload and high surge energy protection. They exceed IEC 61000-4-5 (1.2µs / 50µs) communication equipment, power supplies, metering and Widely used in welding equipment, power tools, and household appliances. These devices offer a rugged, fully soldered structure to improve reliability, while their high-temperature silicone coating allows operating temperatures ranging from -65C to + 250C (characteristic U) and -65C to + 350C (characteristic V). The compact resistor can provide a high power rating of 3W to 13W at + 25C and 2,000 hours of load life stability at + 25C with an error of less than ± 3%. The resistance range of these devices is 2ohm to 938kohm, the tolerance is ± 5% and ± 10%, the resistance of TCR is 2Ω to 9.9ohm is ± 50ppm / C, and the resistance of 10Ω and above is ± 30ppm / C. The company stated that the CW-High Energy Series offers lead-free and tin / lead terminals.
