Yokowo's TB series products do not require sealing construction or molding on the final product. This enables faster design cycles, more straightforward implementation, and lower manufacturing costs. Designed for waterproof blade and receptacle connectors claiming to be the industry's first IPX7 rated floating contact connector

For rugged battery charging applications, including tablets, data acquisition terminals or drones, its TBR and TBP series connectors offer IPX7 entry protection. IPX7 waterproof rating (soak in 1m water for 30 minutes) protects the device and battery from water damage.

The contact adopts sealed potting and rubber sheet isolation to stop the short circuit between adjacent contacts. The dual beam floating contact design of the socket connector provides six axis misalignment compensation and is capable of absorbing +/-0.3mm misalignment.

Two-way insertion provides engineers with a high degree of design flexibility. In addition, the floating contact design absorbs shock and vibration, allowing for a stable and secure power connection. The contact is suitable for SMT and reflow welding, rated current 3A, contact resistance 50mOhm, match times 2000 times.

Yusuke Fujioka, Product Sales Manager at Yokowo, said: "The waterproof capability of these connectors combined with the floating contact design provides increased design flexibility and cost savings for OEMs involved in rugged applications."
